Weeks 1-6:

Our goal for the workshops:

Equity_Illus-01-1.png

The purpose behind creating these workshops is centered around building a more inclusive community in Lanark County. We can do this by unpacking barriers minority groups face in the workplace, and why they may occur. We will also analyze how they may be presented within the community and strategies that are an attempt to tackling them. An introduction presentation to our project will be included under "Introduction."

Here is how the weeks are ordered so you can easily follow along:

  • Introduction

  • Week 1: Colonialism, Capitalism, and Social Inequality

  • Week 2: Microaggression

  • Week 3: Intersectionality in the Workplace

  • Week 4: Racism in Modern Society

  • Week 5: Recognizing privilege and utilizing it

  • Week 6: Gender Identity/Pronouns

The chat box is always open so anyone can send messages to us! Feedback, opinions and new topic suggestions are always welcome :)
